Dennis Lamar Harraway

Dennis Lamar Harraway was born in Salinas, California, on October 19, 1963, to Lola and Cournel Harraway.Dennis attended local schools and graduated from Monterey High School. Later in life, Dennis moved to the Los Angeles area, where he established a career in the culinary profession before eventually making his home in San Diego, California.Dennis was known for his love of animals, his affection for babies, and his remarkable ability to impersonate his brothers, bringing laughter and joy to family and friends. His warm spirit, sense of humor, and caring nature will be remembered by all who knew and loved him.On August 31, 2026, Dennis entered eternal rest, leaving behind a loving family who will forever cherish his memory. Dennis leaves to mourn his children, Tatiana Harraway, Derrian Harraway, twins Jayla and Jaylen Harraway, and Danger Williams; his brother, Allan Harraway; his sisters, Katrina Boyd, Germain Hatcher, and Brenda Young; his stepmother, Blondell Harraway; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins; and his longtime love, Tammy Jackson.Dennis was preceded in death by his brother, Cournel Harraway Jr. (“Ciejai”); his sister, Davita Moffit; his mother, Lola Moffit; his father, Cournel Harraway; his maternal grandparents, Melvin and Lucille Samuels; his paternal grandparents, Charley and Marie Harraway; his aunt, Delores Green; and his uncle, Curtis Harraway.Though Dennis is no longer with us in body, the love he shared, the laughter he inspired, and the memories he created will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew him. His legacy will continue through the many lives he touched.
