Deoselita Galvez

Surrounded by the love of her family, Deoselita “Baby” Galvez was welcomed into God's eternal embrace on May 18, 2026, at the age of 66.
Born on October 18, 1959, in Manila, Philippines, Deo later immigrated to Monterey, California in 1995, where she built a beautiful life centered around family, joy, and love.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 29 years, Lucerio Galvez; her daughter, Deomarielu Galvez; her eldest sister, Deosita (Mario) Batac; her younger siblings, Deoglorita (Joseph) Cleto and Deosilito Jimenez; who along with many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends who will miss her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Deogracias and Teresita Jimenez; her brother, Deogracito Jimenez; and her youngest sister, Deomita Aniceto.
Baby was known for her vibrant personality and ability to bring joy to everyone around her. Whether through her jokes, stories, or home-cooked meals, she made people feel welcomed and loved. She found joy in life's simple pleasures – watching TFC and GMA, playing badminton, solving word puzzles, and nurturing her faith as a devoted Catholic. Most of all, she cherished time spent with her beloved husband, especially their treasured dates at Jollibee on his days off.
Her laughter, humor, and larger-than-life spirit brightened every room she entered. There was never a dull moment in her presence, and her warmth, love, and positive energy touched so many. She will be deeply missed.
Visitation services will be held on Saturday, June 6, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Mission Mortuary in Monterey. A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, June 8, 2026, at 9:00 am at St. Jude's Catholic Church in Marina, with interment to follow at Mission Memorial Park in Seaside. Family and friends are welcome to attend.
