Lance Gordon Nielsen

Lance Gordon Nielsen, 59, passed away July 21, 2026. A celebration of his life will be held August 29, 2026 at Gale F. Fletchall Hall (Scandinavian Hall), 195 W 5th Ave, Junction City, OR 97448 at 11:30am. Born in Eugene, Oregon July 22, 1966, Lance gained an associate’s degree in mechanics and, after many years working at Springfield Creamery, became a respected Field Technician for Xylem Inc. throughout Oregon, Idaho, Montana and other states. Lance was known for his generosity, both with his time and money. His family and friends relied on his skills, creativity and perseverance to keep cars and equipment running and to solve many farming issues. More than anything (even mocha breves), Lance loved his children and his grandchildren. Lance was preceded in death by his mother, Linda Berge, and is survived by his children, Liam Nielsen (Madelyn) and Melina Nielsen, his grandchildren, Jared, Silas and Elias, his father, Gordon Nielsen, and his sisters, Shuree Sleeper and Linnet Cartwright.

In lieu of flowers, family members suggest buying a gift card from Nina’s Pony Espresso or Hillbilly Brews Espresso in Junction City. Please either bring it to the celebration of life service or leave it at the cart with “from Lance” written on it for them to “pay it forward.” Alternatively, the family suggests a donation to a cat rescue as Lance always had a soft spot for cats and rescues.
