Beatrice "Bea" P. Householder

Dec 24, 1929 — Sep 14, 2026

Beatrice P. Householder, 96, of Cambridge passed away with family by her side on September 14, 2026. She was born on December 24, 1929 at the home farm in Christiana Township to Ole C. and Inga Gyland.

Bea attended Smithback School, a one room school for the early years and then graduated in 1949 from Cambridge High School. Her work career included Milton's Ben Franklin and Sentry at South Towne in Madison. Her favorite employment was at Skelly's Supermarket in Milton. She worked with many teenagers at their first jobs and made many lifelong friendships there. Faith, family, friends, food and fun were her guideposts. She loved a gathering of people, a spread of food, especially desserts, cards and coffee. She was content just listening to the laughter running rampant among the chaos.

Bea was a hard worker, faithful, generous and kind. She was an incredible person who raised four loving children in Milton. She is remembered by her family: Lindy of Madison; Jon and Joyce of Stilwell, KS; Chris and Allen of Janesville; Brad of Ossian, IN; 9 grandchildren plus 6 partners; 19 great-grandchildren; and special nieces and nephew.

On Saturday, September 26, there will be a visitation from 10-11 and a service at 11 at East Koshkonong Lutheran Church, 454 East Church Road, Cambridge, WI 53523.

A heartfelt thank you to the staff of Home Again Assisted Living in Cambridge for their excellent care and loving support of Bea.

Agrace helped with care and comfort during the last few months for both Bea and her family. It was appreciated.

Donations can be given to East Koshkonong Church.

Nitardy Funeral Services assisted the family. Bea and family thank you for being part of her dash.
