James R. Eckhart

After a long struggle with heath, Jim Eckhart is now face to face with Jesus in Heaven. Jim served the Lord in so many ways during his life and struggles here on earth. Known by all he met for his great sense of humor and faith in Christ, Jim lived his belief from II Corinthians 12:9 & 10: “My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is mad perfect in weakness. Therefore, I take pleasure in infirmities… for when I am weak, then I am strong.” And I Timothy 6:12: “Fight the good fight in faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou are also called, and best profess a good profession before many witnesses.”   A time of praise and celebration will be held at Calvary Baptist Church, 792 Milford St., Watertown on Saturday, Oct. 4th at 11am. Visitation will be held from 10am until the time of service. Luncheon to follow. Burial will be held at Cold Spring Cemetery, Tuesday, Oct 7th at 11am. Donations can be made to Calvary Baptist Church and school, and Rainbow Hospice Care.   Nitardy funeral home is assisting the family.
