Gordon B. Philip Jr., 84, of Whitewater passed away on Tuesday, July 14, 2026.

He was born on June 11, 1942, to the late Gordon and Ethel (nee Furman) Philip Sr. In Chicago, IL. On June 25, 1966, he was united in marriage to Jerry Nicolaus and together they raised their 2 children. Gordon worked as an accountant for many years until retirement. He enjoyed living on the lake and boating. He was very interested in his Scottish genealogy. Gordon also enjoyed reading and playing euchre and spades. He was an excellent cook and always enjoyed his glass of scotch. Gordon especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends by traveling, playing games or simply sharing conversations and stories. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Those Gordon leaves behind to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 60 years, Jerry Philip; two children, Lisa (Tom) Green and Tom Philip; six grandchildren; Nathan, Zachary, Tyler, and Jacob Green and Anna and Nicholas Philip; sister-in-law, Joan Schossow; brother-in-law, Jon (Kathryn) Nicolaus; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Gordon is preceded in death by his parents.

VISITATION: The family will greet relatives and friends on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at First English Lutheran Church, 401 W. Main St., Whitewater from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.

SERVICE: A Memorial service that will honor and celebrate Gordon ‘s life will be at the church at 11:00 a.m.
