Patricia "Pattie" McCarty

Patricia "Pattie" L. McCarty (née Andersen), 56, of Whitewater, passed away peacefully on July 15, 2026, surrounded by her family.

Born on December 23, 1969, in Illinois, Pattie was the beloved daughter of the late Kenneth Andersen and Sandra Leigh Eilers (née Stapleton). She was also preceded in death by her stepfather, Robert Kraft "Bob" Eilers.

Pattie is lovingly remembered by her devoted husband, Robert McCarty; her cherished daughter, Katherine Seligmann; her nephew, Robert; her nieces, Caroline and Hillary; and many other relatives and friends who will forever treasure her memory.

A longtime resident of Palatine, Illinois, Pattie built a life centered on kindness, compassion, and service to others. She worked for and volunteered with numerous charitable organizations and touched the lives of many through her generosity and caring spirit.

Pattie found her greatest joy in the outdoors. Whether fishing, hiking, kayaking, camping, or simply relaxing beside a campfire, she appreciated the peace and beauty of nature. She possessed a remarkable gift for making people feel seen and valued. With her warm smile, open heart, and genuine kindness, Pattie connected effortlessly with people from all walks of life, leaving a lasting impression on everyone she met. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

The family will gather privately to celebrate Pattie's life at a later time.
