Sherri passed peacefully at Northern Colorado Medical Center in Greeley, CO at the age of 76, with her daughters and grandchildren by her side.

Sherri was born February 22, 1949, to Harlan L. and Audrey J. Darling Cross in Wray, Colorado. After leaving Yuma, Colorado she made her home in Hudson, Colorado in 1990 with her husband and best friend Jerry.

Sherri graduated high school in 1967 from Liberty High in Joes, Colorado. She then married and moved to Yuma where she started a family and had two girls, Kim and Tori.

After a short stint in retail working at Mustain's Grocery store in Yuma, Sherri built a career in accounting working for Big R of Yuma and then the Yuma Coop which later became Agfinity. In the late 80's Sherri transferred to American Pride Coop in Brighton, Colorado where she worked to finish 30 years of accounting and fuel brokering.

In May of 1993 Sherri married her best friend and soul mate, Jerry Madsen in Reno, NV. They made Hudson, Colorado their home.

After retirement in 2002 Sherri enjoyed stained glass projects, gardening and her grandchildren. She especially liked the times she spent with her great granddaughters.

Many of her fondest memories came from the time on her parent's farm in Joes, Colorado and her grandparents' cabin in Grand Lake, Colorado. Spring was her favorite time of year when the trees and flowers were blooming, and the grass was greening for the summer season. Greenhouse shopping was always a favorite outing. Her and Jerry's Route 44 trip, the Denver Aquarium and the Butterfly Pavilion with her grandchildren and great granddaughter were by far her most favorite trips.

Sherri is survived by her companion Snowman, daughter Kim Longworth of Keenesburg (husband Kelly), daughter Tori McMechan of Nunn, Grandchildren Alyssa (husband Ross) great grandson Jasper, Logan (wife Katie) great grandson Karder, Kyle (significant other Miss Kyle) Peyton and Kerala, Destiny, Taylor (husband Jordon) Great granddaughters Aubrey and Ryleigh, nephews H and Richard (wife Mala) great nephew Wesley and great niece Grace and many other relatives.
