Douglas Ray Frederick
Nov 17, 1949 — Aug 28, 2026
Douglas Ray Frederick, 76, passed away August 28, 2026 in Greeley, CO. He was born in Greeley on November 17, 1949 and grew up in Evans, CO. He graduated from Greeley West and attended some college at CSC. He spent 2 years in the army and was a combat veteran of the Viet Nam War. In 1970 he married Linda and they spent 56 years together. Fifty of those years they lived in Eaton, CO. where they raised two children, Tracie and Matt. As a family they enjoyed camping and hiking in the mountains and walking out on the grasslands, trolling for fish on local lakes, picnics, trips to the mall, gardening, ice skating.
Doug enjoyed shooting sports , hunting, bows and arrows, flint napping, leather craft, reading, and drives in the country.
Doug and Linda had many fun trips riding on their Trek mountain bikes on trails in nearby towns and Cheyenne. In later years they enjoyed sitting on the patio watching squirrels and birds. He spent 30 years working at Kodak Colorado Division and developed many friendships with fellow workers. The principles Doug lived by along with good friends helped him navigate through the tough times in life. He was a quiet man who cared about his family and friends and has a sense of humor which will be remembered by those who knew him. He will be greatly missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Glen and Ann Frederick. He is survived by his wife, Linda and his daughter Tracie (Scott) Mason of Eaton CO, son Matthew (Sarah) Frederick of Casper WY, two granddaughters, Elbe and Emme, and brother Mike (Sande) Frederick of Greeley CO.
