Jojo was a light that could fill any room.

Esperanza Jo “Jojo’ Gonzales, 18 of Greeley, Colorado , passed away peacefully on September 19th, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She was born July 30, 2008 in Greeley, Colorado, to Jason and Kyla Gonzales.

Jojo was a loving mother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, niece and friend. She enjoyed fishing, grilling, swimming , playing cards with family and most importantly spending time with her beautiful daughter Esme. Jojo was a light that could fill any room. Her laugh was contagious, and her hugs unforgettable. She had a big heart and a loving soul. 

Jojo will be remembered for the love, joy and special memories she shared with those who knew and loved her. Her time with us was far too short, but the impact she made on the lives of her family and friends will remain in their hearts forever.

Jojo is survived by her daughter Esmeralda Gonzales, parents Jason and Kyla Gonzales, brother Jason Jr(Ashley) Gonzales, sister Kendra Gonzales, Niece Kamila Gonzales, and Nephews Leonardo Gonzales and Little Jr Soria. Grandparents Justina and Juan Burciaga, Juan Gonzales, Pamela Shaw,Thomas and Tina Shaw, Great grandma Aurora Cardoza, numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was proceded in death by great grandparents Mr and Mrs. Fauver, Mr and Mrs Shaw, Manuel Cardoza, Judith Fazekas, Hortencia Garza, Joe Salazar, Uncle Steve Shaw and best friend Cayden Owens. 

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday October 4th at 2pm at 2630 6th Ave Greeley,Co. Family and friends are invited to honor Jojo’s life and share memories of the beautiful young women she was. Family will also be doing a ballon release/ candle lighting at Glenmere park ,Friday September 25th, 2026 at 7:30 pm.
