Irene Mae Luster

Irene Luster 89 of Greeley, Colorado, passed away on August 12, 2026, along with her Pet companion Duchess. 

Irene was born Dec. 31, 1936 to Louie and Margaret Behrendsen.

On Aug 3, 1955, she married Wamada (Walkie) Luster in Denver Co.

They moved often while Walkie worked in the oil fields, finally settling in Greeley. Together they enjoyed riding motorcycles.

Irene enjoyed gardening and took care of her grandchildren when they were young.

Irene is survived by her son Brad Luster and wife Jolene, grandchildren Leelan, wife Sarah, Chris, Thomas, wife Becky.

Great grandchildren Dominic, Lincoln, Jackson and Ryder. Sister Ruth Almer and Brother Dick Behrendsen.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Walkie her son Barry and grandchild Jennifer. Her parents Louie and Margaret

Behrendsen. Brothers Lowell and Henry Behrendsen and sister Barbara.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00am Sept. 12, 2026, at Linn Grove Cemetery 1700 Cedar Avenue, Greeley, CO.
