James Joseph Keene

James Joseph Keene, 43, of Fort Collins, Colorado, died 22 August 2026.

Jimmy was born January 5, 1983, in Tucson, Arizona, to Sandra K. Keene and James K. Keene.

Jimmy had a gift for making people laugh. He was a natural impressionist with a deep well of pop culture at the ready — a line from the Simpsons, an accent pulled out of nowhere, whatever the moment called for. He found the person having the worst day in the room and went to work on them until they cracked.

Jimmy moved back to Fort Collins to be closer to his daughter, Mika Keene. He gave up everything to do it, and he was devoted to her without qualification.

He worked at a local carwash and was close to completing an Associate of Applied Science in automotive technology.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, Sandra K. Keene and James K. Keene.

He is survived by his daughter, Mika Keene; his niece Syllva Perry, nephew Xavier Perry, his sisters, Kialea Williams, Michelle Christle, and Sherry Keene; and his aunts and uncles, Launa Cavasos and Kennie and Mike Johnston.
