Larry Keith Klinginsmith
Jun 21, 1954 — Oct 9, 2025
Larry K. Klinginsmith, 71, of Grover, Colorado passed away peacefully surrounded by his family and a lifelong friend on October 9, 2025. He was born to Stanley and Beulah (Johnson) Klinginsmith on June 21, 1954, in Kimball, Nebraska. Larry attended Pawnee High School in Grover, Colorado and later attended Northeastern Junior College in Sterling, Colorado where he studied diesel mechanics.
Larry married Sherri Brown on September 8, 1990, in Pine Bluffs, Wyoming. Larry and Sherri operated a farm and a small trucking company while raising their four children.
Even though Larry never left the Grover area, he loved to travel. He enjoyed telling stories about the many places around the country where he hauled cattle and he showed pictures of new experiences to anyone he met. Larry was so proud of the accomplishments of his children, and he loved his grandchildren.
Larry’s hobbies included gardening, fishing, and travel. Larry had many memorable fishing trips to Oklahoma, Canada, Lake Powell, and Alaska just to name a few. He always found much enjoyment visiting new places with his family and friends.
Larry is survived by Sherri, his wife of thirty-five years, his four children Jessica (Wes) Winn, James Klinginsmith (Keara), Scott (Kailey) Klinginsmith, and Katie Klinginsmith as well as his grandchildren Wylie, Abbi, Halli, Lane, and Harper, his mother Beulah, his sisters Linda (Glen) Erickson, Janyce Harms, Sandy (Dwane) Timm, Doris Curyea, Pattie Klinginsmith, Donna (Kelly) Thompson, Karla (Dallas) Warren, and his brother David (Beth) Klinginsmith. Larry is preceded in death by his father, Stanley.
A memorial service will be held at the Pine Bluffs Historic High School, 607 Elm Street, Pine Bluffs, Wyoming on November 1, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. Friends who wish to make memorial contributions in memory of Larry may send them to Sherri Klinginsmith at Northern Colorado Crematory, 700 8th Street, Greeley, CO
