Robert Lynn Duvall
Apr 30, 1948 — Jun 18, 2026
Robert Lynn “Bob” Duvall, 78, of Greeley, Colorado, passed away peacefully on June 18, 2026, at North Colorado Medical Center after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.
Bob was born on April 30, 1948, in Greeley, Colorado, to Wilbert Thomas Duvall and Blanche Margaret Pratt Duvall. He was a proud lifelong Greeley resident and cherished the community that helped shape the man he became.
Bob attended Greeley schools from kindergarten through high school, graduating from Greeley West High School in 1966. He continued his education at Aims Junior College before earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business and Marketing from the University of Northern Colorado in 1971.
Following graduation, Bob began a successful career in sales, working for Kraft Foods, French’s, and ultimately Ralston Purina/Nestlé. He dedicated 32 years to Ralston/Nestlé before retiring in 2011.
Bob was a man of many talents and interests. He possessed a wealth of knowledge and was often the person family and friends turned to for advice, guidance, or help solving a problem. Whether it involved hunting, fishing, outdoor skills, home projects, or practical life lessons, Bob seemed to know a little about everything and was always willing to share what he had learned. He was happiest in the mountains, on a fishing trip, or in a hunting camp, surrounded by nature and those he loved.
While Bob enjoyed the outdoors, his greatest joy was his family. Nothing brought him more happiness than spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren, and loved ones. He was a devoted husband, a caring father, a proud grandfather, and a steady presence in the lives of those around him. His family was always his highest priority, and he worked hard throughout his life to provide, support, and create lasting memories with them. His wisdom, humor, patience, and love will continue to live on through the many lives he touched.
Bob is survived by his loving wife, Diane Duvall; his children Jeffrey Duvall, Justin Duvall, Jaron Duvall and Janel (Skyler) Schissler; and numerous grandchildren whom he adored: Amanda (Jacob) Hutchison, Dillon Duvall, Chad (fiancée Maddi) Duvall, Nevaeh Duvall, Neraih Duvall, Kingston Schissler, Kallie Schissler, and Katie Schissler.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilbert and Blanche Duvall; his sister and brother-in-law, Sandra and Monte Davenport; and his beloved grandson, Camden Schissler.
Bob will be remembered for his strength, generosity, knowledge, unwavering work ethic, love of the outdoors, and above all, his deep love and commitment to his family. His legacy lives on in the lessons he taught, the memories he created, and the family he cherished so deeply.
A Celebration of Life honoring Bob will be held on June 29, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Bob and Diane’s home. Family and friends are invited to gather to share memories, stories, laughter, and fellowship as we celebrate a life well lived.
For the residence address or additional information, please contact Janel Schissler at (970) 371-0630.
While Bob will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him, his family finds comfort in the promises of Jesus Christ.
As Scripture reminds us:“Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. For we believe that Jesus died and rose again.” — 1 Thessalonians 4:13-14
