Bobby W. "Papaw" Ferrell

Bobby W. “Papaw” Ferrell, 86, of Haines City, Florida, passed away on Sunday, September 27, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on June 11, 1940, in Lepanto, Arkansas, to Willie Taft and Erma May Ferrell. Bobby was a proud veteran of the United States Navy and worked for over 20 years in law enforcement and security. He was of the Baptist faith.

Bobby enjoyed gardening and had several gardens; he truly had a green thumb. He also loved fishing, fixing his boat, being the boss, and spending time with his grandchildren. Bobby was an honest, straightforward, and stubborn man who was known for being old school.

Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Erma; his sons, William Wayne Ferrell and John Michael Ferrell, his brothers, Billie Joe Ferrell and Roger Dale Ferrell, and his grandson Justin Whidden. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of 65 years, Elsie “Pat” Ferrell; his daughters, Beverly Ann King and her husband, David, Angela Ruth Whidden and her husband, Frank, his son Brian Ferrell, his sister, Billie Ruth Light and her husband, Daryl Turner; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
