Carrie Dunaway Jackson

Carrie Miller Dunaway Jackson, 93, of Haines City, FL passed away on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at her residence with family by her side.

Born October 19, 1932, in Two Egg, Florida, she has lived in Haines City, Florida for over 74 years.

She retired from the Haines City Citrus Growers Association where she worked as a Grader and had various other jobs including working at Lawhorn Pharmacy and the State Restaurant in Haines City; where she was known for her Key Lime Pie. 

She is preceded in death by her parents, James L and Carrie Green Dunaway and a brother, Lonnie Dunaway.

She is survived by two daughters, Linda Mannis of Dundee, FL and Debra Jeter of Murphy, NC; a son, Charles E. Johnson and wife Sherri  of Belmont, North Carolina; two step-sons, Wayne and Tom Jackson of Georgia; a sister, Lucille Williams and two brothers, James and Richard Dunaway; seven grandchildren and numerous great and great-great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at 10:00am, Monday, November 24, 2025, at Oak Ridge Funeral Care in Haines City.  Funeral Services will follow at 11:00am, in the chapel followed by interment at Forest Hill Cemetery.
