Doris I. Pryor of Haines City, Florida passed away on March 30, 2026, with her family by her side. She was 93 years old. She was born on October 19, 1932, to Robert W. and Lillie I. Lawson Smith in Tift County, Georgia and moved from Georgia to Homestead, Florida in 1950 and finally settling down to Haines City, Florida in 1962.

Doris was employed in the citrus industry. She started working with Donald Duck Citrus, which became Citrus World, by the time she retired. Afterward she went to work with Haines City Health Care for many years. She was a charter member of Shamrock First Baptist Church in Haines City; in fact, she is believed to be the last attending charter member. Doris loved to cook, and she even gifted her grandchildren with their favorite recipe of hers. She was extremely family-oriented and loved having her grandchildren over to visit; her favorite month was April, and her favorite season was Spring.

She was predeceased by the father of her children and husband, James E. Pryor, her second husband, Ivy Allen, her third husband, Alfred Pryor; her son, James E. Pryor; her daughter, Carol Mugridge; her son-in-law, Steve Jordan and her siblings, Robert Smith, Ruth Barfield, Cline Smith, Erma Dell Sutton, Charles Smith, Lloyd Smith, Bonnie Smith Earl Smith and Larry Smith. Doris is survived by her daughters, Joyce Jordan of Alabama, and Wanda Green and her husband, Charles of Haines City; grandchildren, James Pryor and his wife, Laura, Tia Jordan, Jason Green and his wife, Angel, Somer Land and her husband, Clayton, Brandy Bennett and her husband, Greg, Ryon Green and his wife, Yahaira, T.J. Whitman, Morgan Mugridge; great grandchildren, Baylee, Delayna, Lexi, Lukas, Dylan, Arabella, Lane, Trent, Mason, Nate, Rylynn, Jacob, Keylah, Matthew, Timothy, Josiah, Austin, Caden, Kamryn and Dejay as well as1 great-great granddaughter, Aspyn.

A visitation will be Friday, April 3, 2026, from 10 am until the funeral at 11 am at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, Haines City. She will be laid to rest in Forest Hill Cemetery next to her husband James.
