Dorothy Marie Weaver
Aug 10, 1935 — Oct 11, 2025
Dorothy Marie Weaver, born on August 10, 1935, in Minden, Louisiana, entered the gates of heaven on October 11, 2025. She was the daughter of Gladis and Alvin Miller and grew up alongside her two younger sisters, Martha and Louise.
At 19, Dorothy married Willis Garth Norris in 1954, and together they welcomed three daughters: Monica, Tina, and Patricia. Tragically, Garth passed away in 1973, but Dorothy’s strength and resilience shone brightly during this challenging time. She dedicated herself to her work as a secretary at the Denver Temple Baptist Church, where she poured her heart into serving her community. Dorothy cherished her church friends, who were a tremendous support to her throughout her life. In 1976, through mutual friends, Dorothy met the love of her life, Glenn Weaver. Their marriage brought not only joy but also the blessing of two additional children, expanding her family and heart. Dorothy was a woman of unwavering faith, and her love for God and family was the cornerstone of her life. She found joy in cooking, gardening, and spending time with nature, often delighting in the company of birds and frogs. She also enjoyed challenging herself with crossword puzzles.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband Glenn Weaver, daughters Monica Warnken and Patricia Burlingame, and son Terry Weaver, as well as her beloved sons-in-law, Brian Carver and Dean Warnken. She is survived by her daughters, Tina Carver and Bonnie Flores, and her grandchildren, whom she adored: Luke & Jake Carver, Austin & Adalyn Hahn, Jessica Warnken, Elizabeth, Catherine, & Rebecca Weaver, Blake & Ashley Burlingame, along with her two great-grandsons, Jax and Cam.
