Francisco Ramos Arroyo

Francisco Ramos Arroyo, 92, of Fajardo, Puerto Rico, passed away on May 10, 2026, at his residence in Puerto Rico. He was born on January 11, 1934, in Humacao, Puerto Rico, to Eugenio Ramos and Tomasa Arroyo. In 1950, Francisco moved to New York where he met his beloved wife of 65 years Eleida Ramos and worked as an inspector for General Motors for over 30 years before retiring in 1986. He moved to Florida in 1992 from South Carolina but later decided to return home to his beloved island of Puerto Rico. He was a devoted member of St. Ann Catholic Church in Haines City, Florida.

Francisco loved enjoying the simple things in life. He found happiness in gardening, relaxing at the beach, bowling, traveling, and working with his hands on various projects. He had a deep love for music and dancing and enjoyed playing the violin. One of his greatest joys was spending time with family and creating lasting memories with those he loved. Francisco was known for his warm smile, cheerful spirit, generosity, kindness, and loving heart. His caring and thoughtful personality will forever be remembered by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugenio and Tomasa; brothers, Pedro Julio, Luis, Alberto, Juan, and Miguel; and sisters, Cecilia, Carmen, and Monina. Francisco leaves behind to cherish his memory his daughters, Frances Ramos-Rosa of Winter Haven, FL, and Nydia (Ed) Debien of Winter Haven, FL; sisters, Iluminada and Delfina; son-in-law, Anthony Rosa; grandchildren, Helen, Haley, Ashley, and Natalie; and great-grandchildren, Marianna and Ian.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, May 31, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Oak Ridge Funeral Care in Haines City. A Mass will take place on Monday, June 1, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Ann Catholic Church in Haines City. Francisco’s final resting place will be at Forest Hill Cemetery.
