L. Warren Mcknight

L. Warren McKnight of Haines City, Florida passed away on Sunday, March 15, 2026, while surrounded by his loving family. He was 79 years old. He was born on February 20, 1947, in Winter Haven, Florida and has been a lifelong Polk County resident.

Warren was a graduate of Haines City High School as well as the University of Florida.  He is a Third Generation Citrus Grower and the president of Holly Hill Fruit Products Co., Inc of Davenport, FL and President of Citrus Enterprises, Inc, Circus Inn, Inc, and McKnight’s Real Estate.

Warren has served as President of the Polk Co. Gator Club and a Board Member of Gator Boosters Inc, as well as President and Director of the Florida Citrus Processors Assoc., The Florida Citrus Showcase, Director of The National Juice Products Assoc., The Florida Department of Citrus School Lunch Committee, and The Sunshine Foundation Board of Directors. He was Past President of The Florida Club and was serving on the Foundation Board of Advent Hospital.

He and his wife are members of Lake Region Country Club of Winter Haven, FL and the Gulf Harbour Country Club of Ft. Myers, FL. He also enjoyed hunting, offshore fishing and watching the Florida Gators play football.

Warren is survived by his loving wife, Susan Mathias McKnight and his daughter, Kelly M. Lewis and her husband, Joseph Matt, as well as his granddaughter, Hadley Kate Lewis; sister, Ginger Glass; brother, Denny McKnight and several nieces and nephews.
