Master Chief Thomas D. "Tom" Huffcut, Ret.

Master Chief Thomas D. "Tom" Huffcut, Ret., 64, of Davenport, Florida, passed away on July 31, 2026. He was born on January 8, 1962, in Vestal, New York, to Ernest and Teresa Pollak Huffcut.
Tom proudly served his country in the United States Navy for 24 years, retiring with the rank of Master Chief Machinist's Mate (MMNCM/E-9). During his military career, he received numerous awards and decorations, including two Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medals, three Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medals, the Navy "E" Ribbon, the Sixth Good Conduct Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, two Sea Service Deployment Ribbons, and the SSBN Deterrent Patrol insignia.
Tom enjoyed playing golf, cooking, and collecting stamps and coins. He was known for being stern, fun, serious, and noble, and he will be remembered for his dedication to his family and his country.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Teresa Huffcut, and his brother, Ronald Huffcut. Tom is survived by his loving wife of 18 years, Patricia Lynn Huffcut of South Carolina; his sons, Thomas Huffcut of New York and Anthony Huffcut of South Carolina; and his sister, Donna Pacelli of New York.
No services will be held at this time. A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
