Pat A. Emmons
Nov 17, 1951 — Aug 12, 2026
Pat A. Emmons, 74, of Davenport, Florida, passed away at her residence on August 12, 2026. Pat was born on November 17, 1951, in Haines City, Florida, to Carl and Edith Lucille Manley Weatherford and was a lifelong resident of Polk County. A woman of Christian faith, Pat devoted her life to her family and home, taking great pride in her years as a homemaker and in creating a warm, loving home filled with memories. She loved crafting and making special keepsakes for her family, and Christmas was especially dear to her heart. She enjoyed decorating, celebrating traditions, and making the holiday season magical for those she loved. In her free time, Pat could often be found watching Lifetime and scary movies, Little House on the Prairie, or Yellowstone. She also enjoyed gambling and playing mobile slot machine games, always finding a little excitement in the next spin. Above all, Pat loved her family, her dog Sugar, and the simple pleasures that made life special.
Pat had a tender heart for animals and was known for her compassion and kindness toward them. She formed a special bond with Leroy, a stray dog whose loyalty touched her deeply. Pat faithfully fed Leroy every morning and evening, making sure he was cared for and never forgotten. Her love for animals was simply a reflection of the loving heart she carried throughout her life. Pat will be remembered for her devotion to her home and family, her creativity, her love of Christmas, her sense of fun, and the kindness she showed to both people and animals. The memories she created and the love she shared will remain treasured by all who knew and loved her.
She was predeceased by her parents, Carl and Edith, as well as her husband, John Lively. Pat is survived by her loving family, son, Rick Bedsole and his wife, Lynna of Pikeville, TN; daughter, Jennifer Bedsole of Frostproof, FL; brother, Skip Manley and his wife, Sandy of Ocala, FL; Nephew Steve Bedsole and Darlene of Mulberry, Fl; grandchildren, Gage Bedsole and his wife, Mandie, Amanda Yanok and her husband, Chad, Tabitha Goforth and her husband, Armend, Summer Massengale and her husband, Spencer, Devin McFadden, Ryan Goforth and his wife, Hailey and Paisley Bedsole; as well as ten great grandchildren.
