Robert Pawlin
Mar 13, 1953 — Jun 20, 2026
Robert Pawlin, 73, of Lake Alfred, Florida, went home to be with the Lord on June 20, 2026. He was born on March 13, 1953, in Ludlow, Massachusetts, to Steve and Rose Pawlin. Bob moved to Florida in 1994 from East Longmeadow, Massachusetts. Throughout his life, he worked in various occupations, but his most recent and favorite position was serving as Assistant Radio Station Manager at Landmark Baptist Church in Haines City, where he faithfully worked for the past three years and was a devoted member of the church family.
Bob loved watching sports and participating in church activities. Most importantly, he cherished spending time with his family and friends. Known for his dry sense of humor, Bob had a unique way of bringing smiles to those around him. He was passionate about the things he loved and lived his life with dedication, faith, and a deep appreciation for the people closest to him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Steve and Rose Pawlin; and his brother, William Pawlin. Robert leaves behind his beloved wife of 50 years, Suzanne Pawlin; daughters, Jill De La Torre (Joe) of Amsterdam, The Netherlands, and Ingrid Niederer (Phil) of Grayling, Michigan; sister, Cheryl Pawlin (Sue) of East Hampton, Massachusetts; sister-in-law, Donna Pawlin of Agawam, Massachusetts; sister-in-law, Pam Becker of La Canada, California; long time family friend, Pat Young of Auburndale, Florida; and five cherished grandchildren, Phillip III, Aaliyah, Zachery, Noel, and Benjamin Niederer.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. at Landmark Baptist Church in Haines City, Florida. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Landmark Radio Station at www.gospel903.com or to Love for Kitui at www.loveforkitui.org.
