Roopnarine Udit

Roopnarine Udit, 80, of Lake Hamilton, FL, passed away peacefully on May 05, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family. Born in Georgetown Guyana, He lived a long and meaningful life rooted in faith, resilience, and devotion to those he loved. He immigrated to the United States in 1994, beginning a new chapter that took him to New York and the last 15 years in Florida, where he remained for the rest of his life. 

He was preceded in death by his parents Harry Udit and Kausilia Dwrkha and brother, Robert. Roopnarine was the beloved husband of Pulmatie Udit and a devoted father to his 4 son’s Shyam (Geta), Bobby, Prakesh (Lalita) and Troy (Rozana). A loving brother to Basil, Sheila, Bebi, Dallin, Seeta, Rudy, and Geeta. His love extended deeply to his grandchildren’s Adam, Brian, Kevin, Alyssa, Anissa, Ariana, Anika, Anisha, Kayla, Jay and Laxmee each of whom brought him immense pride and joy. 

Roopnarine will be remembered for his unwavering strength, kindness, and deep love for his family and love ones. He was a guiding light, offering wisdom, comfort, and support. His life was a testament to perseverance, faith, and the importance of family bonds. He leaves behind a legacy of love that will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

A visitation will be held on Friday, May 8, 2026 at 8:00 am followed by a funeral service starting at 9:00 am at Oak Ridge Funeral Care in Haines City and continuing the service at Monarch Crematory 2175 S 30th St Haines City, FL at 10:30 am.
