DAVENPORT, FLORIDA - Ruby M. Murdock-Richards-Williams of Davenport, Florida passed away on May 23, 2017. She was 94. She was born on December 10, 1922 in Dellwood, Florida to Willie and Dicy Elmore Murdock. Ruby moved in 1945 from Malone, Florida to Haines City and finally to Davenport. She had several occupations, first she worked at Florida All Bound Box Co. in Auburndale, Florida, then she worked in the citrus industry as well as in the foliage decoration industry. Ruby was a member of Greenleaf River of Life Worship Center. Ruby is predeceased by her husbands, Alf Whit Richards and George Albert Williams; her parents; daughter, Ethel Jane Murdock and son, Virgil Wayne Murdock; siblings, Dicie Murdock Boykin, Faye Murdock Bovinet, Larkin Crumbly "L.C." Murdock, Morris Murdock, Mary Murdock Jordan, Bernice Murdock Moss, Buddy Murdock, W.J. Murdock, Luvinia Murdock and Doyle Murdock. She is survived by her children, Mary Stidham of Davenport, FL, Agnes Jones of Munford, AL, Robert Richards of Anniston, AL, Elizabeth Miller of Haines City, FL, Hazel Davis of Davenport, FL; ten step children and their families; brothers, Carl Murdock of Haines City, J.R. Murdock of Lakeland, FL; twenty eight grandchildren; sixty seven great grandchildren and twenty five great-great grandchildren. A visitation will be on Friday from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm and the funeral will be Saturday, May 27, 2017 at 10:00 am at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, Haines City with Pastor Gerry "Buck" King, Darlene Davis and Pastor Paul Jones officiating. Final resting place will be at Forest Hill Cemetery in Haines City.
