Thomas Alan Duncan of Poinciana, Florida passed away on July 2, 2026, he was 69 years old. He was born on January 15, 1957, and moved to Florida from Mobile, AL in 1981.
Thomas was a member of Shepherd’s Chapel Church and was a Machinist and Land Surveyor by trade. In his retirement he was able to spend time enjoying his hobbies, such as fishing, shooting, and collecting guns. He also was a racing and sports fan. He loved supporting his grandchildren at any of their activities including baseball games, concerts, cow shows, soccer matches, any activity they had- he was there. He was one of their biggest supporters.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Morris Clay Duncan and Janice Burnett Duncan, his brother, Terry Duncan, and his sister, Dorothy Hamner. Thomas is survived by his daughter, Julie Duncan-Smith and her husband Joe, his son, Alec Duncan, three grandsons Ethan Duncan, Jace Tyler, and Barrett Tyler, as well as two granddaughters Deserae Duncan and Olivia Duncan, his brother, Tim Duncan and his wife, Vikki and brother-in-law, David Hamner, and many nieces and nephews.
A gathering of family and friends will be on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, Haines City, FL from 12pm-1pm. At 1:00 pm there will be a celebration of life service with a reception to follow at the funeral home.
