Mar 27, 1958 — Oct 12, 2026

In Loving Memory of Timothy Lee Otte Sr.

March 27, 1958 – October 12, 2026.

Timothy Lee Otte Sr., age 68, of Davenport, Florida, passed away on October 12, 2026. Born on March 27, 1958, in Davenport to Wanda Joyce Otte and Leroy Otte, Timothy lived a life centered on family, hard work, and God’s Word.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra Otte; his mother, Wanda Joyce Otte; his siblings, Larry, Judy, Joe, Jean, and Patricia; and his children, Timothy Lee Otte Jr., Keith Otte and his wife, Kristy, Angie Duncan and her husband, Jason, Jessie Turner, and Andy Henson.

He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren: Darrian, Ethan, Shianne (Destin), Leslie (Claudio), Sara (Austin), Jacob, Jared (Courtney), Jonathan, Kolten, Lillia (Calvin), Morgan, and Ember; along with many beloved great-grandchildren.

Timothy was preceded in death by Leroy Otte, Vern Rouse, and many extended family members and loved ones.

A faithful servant of the Lord and a beloved husband, son, brother, dad, uncle known as “Bubba,” grandpa, great-grandpa, and friend, Timothy had a heart overflowing with love for others. Humble in spirit and generous in heart, he was always willing to lend a helping hand, never hesitating to go out of his way for someone in need.

Above all, he never missed an opportunity to share the love of Jesus with those around him. His faith was the foundation of his life, and his greatest desire was for others to know the Savior he loved so dearly.

His love for his family was immeasurable. He cherished daily phone calls and visits with his mom, family, and friends, long conversations from his favorite living room chair, and the simple joy of spending time together. Those moments, filled with laughter, stories, wisdom, and Bible study, will forever hold a special place in the hearts of those who loved him.

He had a wonderful sense of humor and a way of making others feel welcome and loved. Everyone had their own special nickname given by him, a small but meaningful reflection of his affection and playful spirit. His home and heart were always open, and he gave so much of himself to his family, friends, and anyone blessed to cross his path.

As a husband, he was deeply loved. As a dad, he was a source of love, guidance, and strength. As a grandpa, he leaves behind precious memories, lessons, and a legacy of faith that will continue through generations. His greatest gifts were not things that could be bought, but the love he gave, the time he shared, the laughter he brought, and the example he set through the way he lived his life.

In the later years of his life, as his body grew frail, his spirit remained strong. He was a fighter who faced countless battles with courage and perseverance. Time and time again, he fought through challenges that would have overcome many, becoming a living testimony of God's sustaining grace and faithfulness. His life touched so many, and even in his weakest moments, he continued to demonstrate a strength that came from something far greater than himself.

Though his family and friends will deeply miss his presence, his laughter, his conversations, and the love he so freely gave, his legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. The memories he created, the lives he touched, and the seeds of faith he planted will continue to bear fruit for years to come.

His life was a beautiful reminder that the greatest legacy we can leave is one of love, faith, humility, and service to others. He loved his family deeply, served others faithfully, and most importantly, pointed people to Jesus.

His earthly journey has ended, but his testimony lives on. He will forever be loved, forever be remembered, and forever be missed until the day we meet again.

While our hearts grieve his passing, we find comfort in the promise of God's Word:

Matthew 25:21 (KJV)

“His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.”

John 15:13 (KJV)

“Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.”

Until we meet again, may we carry on his legacy by loving others, serving with humble hearts, sharing the love of Jesus, and cherishing the precious moments God gives us.
