A Tomas le precedieron en vida sus padres, Catalina y Alberto, así como sus hermanos, Teresa y Raymundo. Le sobreviven su esposa Rosa y sus cuatro hijos, Melissa, Katherine, Jesus y Andres.
Tomas será recordado como un hombre bueno y muy confiable. Era profundamente respetado tanto por sus colegas como por sus amigos por su capacidad para infundir confianza en los demás. Poseía un talento innato para hacer que las personas creyeran en sí mismas, siempre ofreciendo una mano amiga a quienes se encontraban en dificultades, sin importar la situación. Tomas Garcia Ruiz, 53, of Haines City, Florida passed away on May 30th, 2026, at HCA Florida Ocala Hospital. Born on January 19, 1973, in the picturesque village of San Miguel Panixtlahuaca, nestled in the heart of Oaxaca, Mexico, Tomas spent over 25 years as a dedicated roofer and was known in the community to bring laughter and strength to those around him until his untimely passing. Tomas found great joy in vacationing in Colorado, where he loved skiing and spending time in the snow with his family.
Tomas was preceded in death by his parents Catalina and Alberto, as well as his siblings Teresa and Raymundo. He is survived by his wife Rosa and his four children, Melissa, Katherine, Jesus and Andres.
Tomas will be remembered as a good and very dependable man. He was revered by colleagues and friends alike for his ability to instill confidence in others. He had an innate talent for making people believe in themselves, always offering a helping hand to those in trouble, regardless of the situation. His generosity and compassion left an indelible mark on everyone he encountered, and his influence will be felt for generations to come.
A funeral service will take place at Oak Ridge Funeral Care in Haines City on June 12th, 2026 at 6pm.
