Crawford Connor Jr.

Crawford M. Connor Jr., 82, passed to Heaven from earth on August 8, 2026, at his home in Auburndale, Florida. He was born August 5, 1944, in Eckhart, Maryland to Crawford Connor, Sr. and Hazel Unger Connor who predeceased him, along with his beloved son, Gregory Connor and two sisters, Wanda Johnston and June LaFollette.

In his early career, Crawford worked at Frostburg National Bank, Frostburg, Maryland and graduated from the Maryland School of Banking at the University of Maryland. Later, he moved his family to Lakeland, Florida to attend Southeastern University where he earned a bachelor's degree in ministry and theology. During his time there, he also served in the positions of Business Manager and Financial Aid Director.

Crawford completed his career serving alongside his son, Pastor Jeff Connor, as Executive Pastor of Haven Worship Center in Winter Haven, Florida where one of his greatest legacies was helping lead the church through the building of a new sanctuary.

Above all, Crawford was a man of faith who loved Jesus, loved his family, and devoted his life to serving the Lord and His church.

Crawford is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Elaine; two children, Pastor Jeffrey Connor (Kim), Winter Haven, Florida and Stephanie Trayers (Pastor Eddie), Springfield, Virginia; his beloved sister-in-law, Sherry Croy; seven grandchildren; Jenna Clark, Sean Connor, Alexis Mortrude, Victoria Jewell, Megan Trayers, Zackary Connor and Megan Garlitz; 16 great-grandchildren; and beloved nieces and nephews; Vicky, Alyson, Genet, Anna Marie, Troy, Zachary and Jonathan.

A visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, August 21, 2026, with a funeral service following at 7:00 p.m. at Haven Worship Center, 1835 Overlook Drive SE, Winter Haven, Florida.
