Elbert "JR" Overbay

Elbert Henry Overbay Jr. (JR), 64 years old of Lake Alfred, Florida passed away on Tuesday August 18, 2026, at 7:52 am. 

JR was born on February 18, 1962, to Elbert Henry Overbay and Kathryn Cantler Overbay in Havre de Grace, Maryland. He graduated Auburndale High School in 1980 and Ridge Votechnical Institute’s Automotive School in 1982. He owned, operated and was a Star Technician of EE&K Automotive until fully retiring earlier this year. 

JR married Jeanie Jones on July 13, 1985. He was an avid race car fan, builder and driver. He also enjoyed flying remote control airplanes with his Dad who passed away in 2024. JR is survived by his loving wife, Jeanie; his mother, Kathryn and his sister, Debbie (Don). 

JR chose not the have a funeral service or interment. A celebration of life will be planned for some time in the near future.
