John Higgins Jr.

John VanCamp Higgins Jr., age 74, passed away on November 2, 2025, in Winter Haven, FL.     Born on August 10, 1951, in Troy, New York, John moved to Florida after graduating high school. He began working for Plibrico Company, LLC at the age of 18 and continued there until his retirement in 2016.    John was a fan of football, Nascar, and Harley Davidson. His passions included spending time with his family and long nights and weekends at the baseball field. His sense of humor kept everyone in his presence smiling and laughing.    He is preceded in death by his parents, John VanCamp Higgins Sr. and Jean Huggins Wetsig. He is survived by his wife, Kathleen Higgins; daughter, Allyson Higgins; stepdaughter, Sarah Payne; grandchildren, Sean Riley, Ambria Riley, Jenna Higgins, and Jenae Higgins; brother, Robert Higgins; sisters, Karen Higgins, Nancy Higgins, and Susan Runnels; along with many nieces and nephews.     John was a dedicated family man, our biggest supporter and protector. He will be deeply missed.
