Johnnie Mae Culpepper of Winter Haven, FL passed away on Friday, July 24, 2026, at Lake Regional Health. She was 94.
Born July 7, 1932, to John and Mattie Cummings (nee Bryan) in Bryceland, Louisiana.
She married her husband Jack Culpepper November 4, 1951, in Bryceland, LA and then moved on to Florida, locating in Winter Haven in 1972. She was a homemaker and a longtime member of Calvary Baptist Church.
Preceded in death by her husband, Jack in 2017, she is survived by: two sons, Steven Culpepper and his wife Vicky of Winter Haven, and Kevin Culpepper and his wife, Lisa of Orlando, FL; a daughter, Kathy Kunze and her husband, Michael of Floral City, FL; four grandchildren, Jeffrey Culpepper, Matthew Kunze, Phillip Kunze and Christy Culpepper; and seven great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of life will be held at 11:00am, Saturday, August 8, 2026, at Calvary Baptist Church in Winter Haven. The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00am.
Johnnie will be laid to rest beside her husband Jack at Rolling Hills Cemetery in a private ceremony. In lieu of flowers please make memorial donations in her honor to St. Judes Children’s Hospitals.
