Mireille Fowler
May 17, 1927 — Jul 19, 2026
With heavy hearts and loving remembrance, we share the peaceful passing of Mireille (Millie) Fowler, who departed this world on July 19, 2026, at the remarkable age of 99.
As her family and friends mourn her loss, they also celebrate the experiences of her amazing life and the unmatched joy and love she brought to so many.
Born May 17, 1927, in Blida, Algeria to French parents, she met her future husband during WW2, while working as an interpreter for the American Headquarters. At 19 years old, she left her home and her family for a new life in a new Country. Several years later she became a U.S. citizen, one of her proudest accomplishments.
She worked and volunteered for many different organizations and was most proud of her many years of service as Crisis Line Coordinator.
Mireille is preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Fowler; parents, Jacques and Germaine Orfila; brother, Jackie Orfila; sister, Gillette Orfila Mudge. Her legacy lives most deeply through her devoted daughter, Gillette Deneault and grandson, Chad Smith, whose love and care were a comfort to her over many years. She also leaves behind her loving son-in-law, Conrad Deneault, and a large extended family.
Her compassion, fierce independence, sense of peace and quiet strength, and enduring spirit will be remembered by all she touched.
We were blessed to have her for so many years, and the experiences of her amazing life taught us that the world changes rapidly: but perseverance, faith in God, love of family and self-determination, endures.
