Shelia Fenley

With deep respect and loving remembrance, we announce the passing of Shelia Fenley, who departed this life on August 14, 2026, in Winter Haven, Florida, at the age of 63. Born on August 12, 1963, in Plant City, Florida, Shelia brought warmth and kindness to all who knew her.

Shelia was a devoted wife, cherished mother, and a steadfast friend. Her home was a place of comfort, laughter, and support, always open to those she loved.

Throughout her life, Shelia embodied compassion and resilience, and her strength in the face of life’s challenges was an inspiration to family and friends. Her gentle spirit, wisdom, and the steadfast love she offered will remain a guiding light to those who had the privilege to know her.

Shelia was a proud preschool teacher, where she shaped the minds of so many children over the years. She led the preschool ministry at her church and was a faithful member. She enjoyed every moment she could with her cherished grandchildren and her dog, Bacon.

She is preceded in death by her parents, FL and Sarah Merritt; sister, Betty Rudd; niece, Kimberly Richwine.

She is survived by her husband, Ken Fenley, whose partnership and companionship brightened every chapter of her life for more than 45 years. Her memory will also be lovingly carried forward by her daughters, Crystal (Brant) Adams and Latonia (Clayton) Keene; grandchildren, Makiah, Micah, Clayton, Madelise, Wyatt, Maeleigh, Mylah; sisters, Gail Pate, Patti Archer, Vicki Enriquez and Tracy Fletcher.

To celebrate Shelia’s life, visitation will be held on August 29, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Oak Ridge Funeral Care in Winter Haven, Florida. This will be followed by a funeral service at 12:00 p.m. Interment will take place at Auburndale Memorial Park on the same day.

As we mourn Shelia’s passing, we find solace in the countless memories and lasting impact she leaves behind. Shelia Fenley’s presence touched many, and her absence will be profoundly felt. Her life was one of quiet strength and enduring love—qualities that will continue to inspire all who knew her.
