Brandon Christopher Fischer

Nov 19, 1972 — Jul 11, 2026

Brandon Christopher Fischer, born Brandon C. Anderson, was 53 years old and resided in Tucson, Arizona. Brandon died unexpectedly on July 11th, 2026, in Tucson, Arizona.

Brandon was born on November 19th, 1972, in Aurora, Illinois, to Darlene (Berger) and Danny F. Anderson, and was adopted by Duane Fischer. He grew up in Aurora and lived in Illinois periodically, but made Arizona his home for most of his life.

A skilled Certified Tower Technician, Brandon took great pride in tower climbing, installing 5G components, and helping erect towers throughout the United States. The travel was not always easy, but he treasured the experiences and, especially, the sunrises and sunsets he witnessed along the way.

Brandon loved the freedom of the open road, the unmistakable rumble of a Harley, and the wind on his face. His interests also included paintball, travel, music, pool, darts, and playing ping-pong at Grandma's home in Illinois. He was a devoted Chicago Bears fan, proudly wore his Chuck Taylors, enjoyed Italian food, and could be a great cook when the mood struck. He also had a not-so-secret love for Michael Jackson's music.

Goofy, full of life, and gifted with an unforgettable laugh, Brandon had a heart that touched people from every walk of life. He loved his children deeply and took great joy in their accomplishments and happiest moments. The time he shared with them was carved into his heart. Brandon also loved his family and extended family, carrying with him a deep longing for those from whom he had become estranged.

His son, Dylan, captured who Brandon was this way: "I think Brandon lit up every room he walked into - good and bad. He was always trying to make others smile. He truly wanted everyone to live their best life. He was so proud of me for doing the exact opposite of everything he had ever done. I just miss his voice saying, 'How you doing?'"

His daughter, Arianna, shared: "To me, my dad was so much more than a title, he was my protector, my biggest supporter, and one of the most important people in my life. He had a heart that loved deeply, even if he didn't always know how to show it. He made me laugh, gave the best hugs, and was the person I could count on when I needed him most. He wasn't perfect, but he loved fiercely, and I never doubted how much I meant to him. He taught me strength, resilience, and the importance of standing by the people you love. The loss of my dad has left a space in my heart that can never be filled, but I will carry his love, his lessons, and the countless memories we shared with me for the rest of my life. I hope to make him proud every day, and I will spend my life honoring the incredible man who had the privilege of calling me his daughter."

In recent months, Brandon found his way back to the Lord Jesus Christ, whom he affectionately called, "The Big Homie," and found comfort in prayer and reading God's Word.

Brandon was preceded in death by his father, Danny Anderson (of Aurora, Illinois); his paternal grandfather, John Anderson (of Aurora, Illinios); his stepfather, Duane Fischer (of Arizona); his aunt, Debbie Hankes, and uncle, Jim Hankes (of Batavia, Illinois); and other beloved great-aunts, aunts, uncles, and cousins who passed before him. Brandon now joins these cherished members of his family, whose lives and memories remain forever woven into his own.

Brandon is survived by his children, Dylan Kelly (by Shannon), Zach Morgan (by Dorothy), and Arianna and Vinnie Clark (with Miranda); his granddaughter, Taylor (Dylan) Kelly; his mother, Darlene Berger-Fischer (of Tempe, Arizona); his paternal grandmother, Loucille G. Anderson (of Aurora, Illinois); his siblings, Brianna (Rich) Moore and her two daughters (of Higley, Arizona), Bryatt (Theresa) Fischer and his three daughters and one son (of Tempe, Arizona), and Gage (Kristin) Anderson and his two daughters (of Batavia, Illinois); his niece, Tatum (Jesse) McReynolds; and his uncle and aunt, John "Bub" and Marlene Anderson, along with many aunts and uncles from his maternal side of the family.

He is also remembered by his cousins, Kathleen Hankes, Laura Anderson, Brad Anderson, Robert J. Hankes, Andrew J. Hankes, Jordan Pounds, and many other cousins throughout Illinois, Florida, and across the country; and his last partner, Vivian Yoshito. Brandon's beloved dog, Rugar, is also left without his Master. This list cannot name every person whose life Brandon touched, but his family wants all of his people to know how deeply he loved them.

Special friends: Jesse, Peri, Billy, Ronnie, Greg, and Karla.

Brandon's life was far greater than the struggles he faced with mental health and addiction. In his memory, if you or someone you love is struggling, please reach out and ask for help. You are loved, your life matters, and you do not have to struggle alone.
