Poem: "Until We Meet Again"

On Friday, June 12th, 2026, at 4:29pm at Tucson Medical Center's Cardiac Intensive Care Unit in Tucson, Arizona, Christopher Patrick Henry, also known as Chris and No ka 'oi, succumbed to his extended legendary warrior journey here on Earth, and now resides in Glory with his Savior, Jesus Christ. He was 52 years old.

Chris was born on Wednesday, April 3rd, 1974, just a hair past noon, at Castle Memorial Hospital in Honolulu (Oahu), Hawaii, to parents Robert Lawrence Henry and Ly-Mei Henry (Sun). He attended both Maui High School and Seabury Hall in Hawaii, and finished his high school diploma at Kino Learning Center in Tucson, Arizona, after suffering a spinal cord injury on November 9th, 1990, which fueled his 35 year quadriplegic odyssey. Chris was a lifelong example of what exhibiting a warrior spirit should portray. He was the proud son of a United States Naval Officer (Robert) and an Award-Winning Chef (Ly-Mei).

Chris proposed to his queen, Ms. Sarah Noel Clark, on September 8th, 2022. Sarah will forever be Chris' wife at heart and they were each other's daily everything for the last five years.

As a genuine lover of life, Chris felt blessed for every day he was able to witness. He had many passions, which included being a Master Chef (by proxy), an avid collector (with a keen eye for the finer things in life), a sports enthusiast, and a Cribbage Guru. He vehemently loved his family and friends, hoping they would all be able to know how much he truly loved Jesus upon the end of his Earthly Journey. Chris lived a full and loving life, however, never being able to ride a roller coaster bummed him out on occasion.

Chris is predeceased by his beloved precious mother, Ly-Mei Henry (Sun) (on Tuesday, November 24th, 2020), his adored baby brother, Alexander Thomas Henry (on Friday, February 22nd, 2019), and numerous extended family and friends. He was also predeceased by his beloved dog and "daughter," Ursula (on Thursday, April 17th, 2025), as well as many other family pets.

He is survived by his soulmate, Sarah Noel Clark (of Tucson, Arizona), his stepson, Nicholas Xavier Screws (Olivia Charles) (of West Branch, Michigan), his father, Robert Lawrence Henry (of Tucson, Arizona), his brothers, Donald Angel (of Tucson, Arizona), Robert Kenyon Henry (of Tucson, Arizona), Stephen Lee Henry (of Tucson, Arizona), and Jason Forrest Henry (Lisa Smith) (of Tucson, Arizona), his sister, Leilani Mei Henry (Shawn Camacho) (of Tucson, Arizona), his nieces, Jordan, Jennae, Kalia, Mia, and Evelyn Lily Mei, his nephews, Parker, Logan, Westyn, and Jackson, as well as many, many friends who were just as close as family.

A private Family and Friend's Event will be held on the evening of July 26th, 2026, to celebrate Chris' legendary life journey. His ashes will be held on to by his close loved ones and the rest will be scattered in Tucson, Arizona, and on Makena "Big Beach" Maui. "Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him. According to the Lord's word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep. For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever."
