Guadalupe "Jose" Hernandez Oroz

Guadalupe (Jose) Hernandez Oroz, born on March 9th, 1946, in Cananea, Sonora, died on February 18th, 2026, in Tucson, Arizona.

Jose is survive by his wife, Irma Curiel, son, Jorge (Jennifer) Curiel, grandkids: Arianna, Jorge, Jessica, and Jacob, brother, Victor, sisters: Cecilia, Maria Auxiliadora, and Rosa, and many nieces and nephews.

Jose is preceded in death by his parents, Jose and Rosauro Hernandez, and siblings, Alvaro and Yolanda.

Jose worked for the mine in Cananea before retiring to live in Arizona. Jose was a simple man who enjoyed gardening and being outside.

Memorial service on March 21, 2026 at 9:00am at Funeraria CTM, with Mass to follow at 1pm at  Parroquia de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe Sonora y Primera Este s/n. Cananea, Sonora 84620.

Burial on Sunday March 22nd 11:00am at Severiano Moreno.
