Harold Morse Burchill

Harold Morse Burchill, 76, passed away peacefully at his home in Tucson, Arizona, on March 2nd, 2026.

Harold was born on August 20th, 1949, in Saginaw, Michigan, to Russell Burchill and Jean Morse Burchill. After graduating from Arthur Hill High School, he attended Delta College and Saginaw Valley State College while working at Saginaw Steering Gear and later as a union mason tender at McMath Masonry.

Harold had a passion for learning and exploring the world and traveled extensively throughout the United States, Europe, Africa, Asia, and Australia. Harold was a consummate story teller who loved recounting the tales of his adventures around the world and fascinated all whom he shared these with. He moved from Saginaw to Sydney, Australia, in the mid 1980s where he worked as a procurement manager for a logistics company for over 20 years. He had a deep pride for Australia and always encouraged friends and family to visit and explore the Land Down Under with him.

Upon retiring in 2015, Harold returned to the United States to be near family and settled in Tucson, Arizona. He enjoyed his final years in Tucson visiting family and friends, riding his motorcycle, going to concerts, and traveling.

Harold was preceded in death by his parents, Russell and Jean.

He will be lovingly missed by his sister, Pamela Fountain (Mark), and brother, Brian Burchill (Rosa), as well as nieces and nephews, Jessica Clunie (Neal), Jeremy Chartrand (Denise), Sharon Burchill, and Justin Burchill (Kim), and many friends and extended family.
