Joseph Diwan Rowley

Jun 22, 1953 — Aug 18, 2026

Joseph (Joe) Diwan Rowley, 73, died on August 18th, 2026. He was born on June 22nd, 1953, in Tucson, Arizona, where he was raised by his grandparents, Walter and Lila Rowley.

In 1990, while living in Florida, he married Darlene Tallerdy, enjoying 36 years of marriage. Joe had two children, Joshua and Elizabeth, from a previous marriage.

While in the Army, he was trained as a cook and eventually became a self-acclaimed chef, and yes, he did all the cooking at home. Joe loved to work with his hands and, over the years, he worked as a handyman, long hall truck driver, and other similar types of jobs. He loved to travel and found himself living in a number of states over the years. However, in 2020, Joe wanted to come home to Tucson. Joe spent many hours on his hobbies, such as putting solar lights in lanterns, building little villages, and making special pens that he loved to give to anyone.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Walter and Lila Rowley; his brother, Walter Hanson; his sister, Charmaine Adair; his nephew, David Hanson; and a number of others.

Joe is lovingly remembered by his wife, Darlene; his two children, Joshua and Brandy Rowley, Elizabeth and BJ Greenshaw; his grandson, Jordon; his brother, Clifford Hanson; and his sister, Ellen Howlett. He will be missed by his large family, cousins, many nieces and nephews, great and great-greats, and many, many loving friends.

In lieu of flowers, Darlene would like for you to make a donation to the Fraternal Order of Eagles #180 in Joe's name. The family is being cared for by Oasis Cremation and Funeral Care. No service to be held.
