Margaret Ann Langreder
March 5, 1933 — May 28, 2026
Margaret Ann Langreder (age 93) was born on March 5th, 1933, in South Haven, Michigan, to James and Rena Marshall. She grew up on her parents' farm doing all the farm chores and graduated from South Haven High School.
She married Ernest Langreder, a South Haven, Michigan, police officer in June 1955. They had one daughter, Linda. Margaret was a troop leader for her daughter's Bluebirds and Camp Fire Girls Troops. Her daughter has cherished memories of annual road trips to visit family in Washington, Florida, California, and Arizona - along with trips to Disneyland and Knott's Berry Farm. Long weekends included trips to Cedar Point, Six Flags, and Great America theme parks.
Margaret worked for Canonie Construction Company in South Haven and as a DEQ Inspector with Hamilton Test after the family relocated to Tucson, Arizona, in 1977.
She was in bowling leagues in both South Haven and Tucson and enjoyed many crafty things - especially cross stitch and diamond painting. She was also a devoted member of the Casco United Methodist Church in South Haven, Michigan. After retiring, Margaret and Ernest spent summers in their RV, traveling up and down the Oregon and Washington coasts. When in Tucson, she worked as a "sample lady" at various grocery stores.
She is survived by her daughter, Linda (of Sherwood, Oregon), and her grandsons, Ryker Leal (Joshua) (of Tucson, Arizona), Dekker Hofmeister (of Sherwood, Oregon), and Chase Langreder (of Sherwood, Oregon).
She was preceded in passing by Ernest Langreder, her husband of over 50 years, her sister, Virginia Hurd, her brothers, Gordon and Eugene Marshall, and her loyal dog, Wiggles.
The family would like to thank La Canada Care Center and Haven Springs Tucson for their kind and compassionate care. She was very proud that she made it to 93. Private services will be held by the family at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donations in Margaret's name to PACC or Arizona Humane Society - she loved dogs!
