Robert Paul Kuhn
January 24, 1949 — June 9, 2026
Robert Paul Kuhn, 77, passed away in the early morning of June 9th, 2026, in Marana, Arizona.
Bob was born on January 24th, 1949, in Denver, Colorado. He was the second of three sons born to John Edward and Margaret Mary (Soran).
Bob attended St. Peter and Paul's grade school in Wheatridge. He enjoyed playing sports, with a preference for baseball, in the Jefferson County little league. He learned to ski through a grade school program. Bob delivered The Denver Post in the residential neighborhoods north of Lakeside Amusement Park.
Bob graduated from Regis High School in 1966. He earned his letter playing baseball.
Bob joined the U.S. Coast Guard in 1967. He was excited for his first assignment in Maui doing search and rescue. Bob was less excited about his second assignment to a river buoy tender on the Missouri near Omaha. Bob completed his service honorably in the Coast Guard and returned to the Denver area.
Most of Bob's working life was as a store manager and occasional baker with Vinnola's Italian Market at 38th and Wadworth in Wheatridge. Bob was appreciated by employers, staff members, and customers.
Bob enjoyed skiing and playing golf. He loved to play golf often at Willis Case even during the winter. Bob was active in the North Denver Men's Club and helped organize tournaments at various golf courses in the front range. He took yearly vacations with friends to play golf and gamble in Las Vegas. Bob was a huge fan of the Denver Broncos and Colorado Rockies.
After retiring, Bob continued to play golf and enjoyed traveling with family.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents and older brother, Jim. Bob is survived by his younger brother, Tom (with Nancy Whitham), sister-in-law, Jan Kuhn, and nephews, Brian and Neil Kohn (Jackie Adair). Bob was a beloved "Gruncle" for Beckett, Beau, Bianca, Emerson, and Hazel.
