Bernice Shular Johnson

Bernice Shular Johnson, 80, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 12, 2026 at Eden Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center. She was a native of Guilford County and the daughter of the late William Albert Shular, Sr. and Margaret Patterson Shular. She was married for 9 months to Ernest Junior Johnson, who passed in 1971.

She loved reading her Bible and putting puzzles together in her free time.

Survivors include her sisters, Norma Pratt and husband, Mike, and Marie Howard of Greensboro, Mary Gregory and Betty Webster of Brown Summit; and a brother, William Shular, Jr. of Colfax.

In addition to her parents, Bernice was preceded in death by her sisters, Margaret Adkins of Greensboro, Doris Walker of Winston-Salem, Dora Oliver of Gibsonville, and Faye Holland of Walkertown; her brother, Curtis Shular of Orange, VA.; and her her half-sisters, Frances Oldham, Dorothy Mayberry, and Edna Tripplet all of Greensboro, and Kathleen Brown of Charlotte.

A graveside interment will be held at Lakeview Memorial Park, 3600 N O. Henry Blvd, Greensboro, NC 27405 on Monday, May 4th, 2026 at 1:00PM.
