Beulah Taylor White

November 27, 1933 — May 23, 2026

Beulah Mae Taylor White was born at home on November 27, 1933, in Stokes County, a daughter of Betty Brim Taylor and Simon Peter Taylor. She was the fifth of six children. Along with her family and the nation, Beulah endured the deprivation of the Great Depression and the sacrifices of World War II.

Her path to escape the hardships was reading, which she pursued when her schoolwork and chores were completed, relaxing beside the pond on the family farm.

She enjoyed her membership in the high school band, playing the French horn.

Early in the 1950s she and her husband Joseph White moved to Greensboro, where Beulah took a position with Jefferson Standard Life Insurance Company. When their daughter and son were born, Beulah devoted herself to their care and upbringing, later rejoining the workforce alongside her husband at Western Electric.

Beulah found her most rewarding work in her role of grandmother to four children who adored their Mimi.

Her children, Linda White Farrar (Joe) and Joseph Randall White, her grandchildren and her brother Simon Taylor, survive her and mourn her loss.

A graveside funeral service will be held at 1:00PM on Thursday, May 28, 2026, at Westminster Gardens Cemetery, 3601 Whitehurst Rd, Greensboro, NC 27410 with Pastor Randy Pearman officiating.
