Donna Rumley McGee

On Thursday, August 13th, 2026, Donna Rumley McGee left this world to be with her heavenly father. Donna was born on September 24, 1957, to the late Ronnie Rumley Sr. and Norean Rumley.

She retired from being self-employed with Home Interiors and Gifts. She was a member of Saint Pius the Tenth Catholic Church. Donna enjoyed cooking, hosting and most of all, spending time with her family, friends, and her pets.

Donna will always be remembered for her exuberant personality and her joy of being around those she loved. She was the happiest when she was doing for others. Donna loved to travel and cook. She prepared food with intention and never served a meal without the appropriate table scape. Her love for cooking and dishes made even the simplest meals like Brunswick stew an event to remember.

Survivors include her loving husband of forty-nine years, William “Bud” McGee, sisters Terry and Scottie Rumley, brothers Ronnie Rumley (Vickie), and Jeff Rumley (Maria), nieces Dr. Raleigh Rumley, Autumn Schmidt (Donald), Blair Cofield (Charles), Lauren Rumley, her favorite nephew Taylor Rumley, great nieces Mabry Cofield and Mary Louise Cofield and favorite great nephew Samuel Cofield.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, August 24, 2026, at Saint Pius the Tenth Catholic Church.

The family will receive friends from 9:00 AM – 9:45 AM, at the church. A reception will immediately follow the mass.

Burial will take place at Lakeview Memorial Park in Greensboro at 12:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Saint Pius the Tenth Catholic Church - Saint Anthony’s Bread Endowment.
