Oliver Coy Turner, 88, of Greensboro, N.C., passed away peacefully on March 15, 2026. He was the son of the late Herbert and Eva (Davis) Turner, and husband of the late Brenda Turner. In addition to his parents and wife, he is preceded in death by his daughter Loretta Whitsell; his siblings, Chester Turner, Ethleen Hicks, Ann Hogge, and Mildred Webber.

He is survived by his children, Michael Turner, Barbara Graves, and Amy Hardin (Phil); his 12 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews, and siblings William Turner and Mary Pollard.

Born in Crossville, Tennessee, Oliver was known for his incredible work ethic and his keen eye for history. He dedicated 36 years of service to the Terminal Freight Handling Company, where his reliability and dedication were hallmarks of his career. Following his retirement, he turned his lifelong passion into a second act, owning and operating his own antique store for 20 years. To Oliver, antiquing wasn't just a business; it was a way to preserve the past and find beauty in the weathered and worn.Oliver loved the Lord with all his heart, and his life was a testament to his deep faith. His family takes comfort in knowing he is now in the presence of his Creator.

The family will receive friend at Pierce-Jefferson Lambeth Chapel, 300 W. Wendover Ave., Greensboro, N.C. on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, from 5:00 PM – 7:00PM. Funeral Services will be at Hillcrest Baptist Church, 3920 Baylor Street, Greensboro, N.C on Thursday March 19, 2026, at 9:30 AM with pastor Donnie Strader officiating. Interment will follow at 11:00 AM at Lakeview Memorial Park, Greensboro N.C.
