Barbara Kay Hayes

Barbara Kay Hayes, 83, of Kernersville went to be with her Lord and savior on May 22, 2026, under the tentative care of Novant Health Kernersville Medical Center. A native of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Vinton and Kathleen (Adams) Weavil.

Barbara is survived by her loving husband of 25 years Larry Hayes; Son Tony (Sage) Easter, their children Hannah, Elizabeth, Crosson Gray, Hagos Kindehafti; Son Allen Hayes; Daughter Donna (Marty) Lineberry, their children Joshua (Diane) Lineberry, Christina (Paul) Issacs, Misty (Curtis) Hillard, and Beth Lineberry; Daughter Amy Easter and her daughter, Angelica. Brandon Murphy and Ashley Young and 13 cherished great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Jerry Wayne Weavil and daughter, Jennifer Murphy.

Barbara was a sweet, loving Christian woman who enjoyed devoting her life to Christ. She will be greatly missed by all those she touched.

The family will receive friends at Pierce-Jefferson Funeral Services, 213 West Mountain Street, Kernersville, NC, on Wednesday May 27th, 2026, from 11:00AM - 12:00PM with Barret Johnson officiating.
