Carl Thomas Cox

Carl Thomas Cox, 80, of Kernersville passed away on August 31, 2026 under hospice care at Novant Health Kernersville Medical Center after three years of declining health. He was born in Asheboro, North Carolina, the only child of the late Paul and Blanche (Brown) Cox.

He graduated from East Forsyth High School in 1963 and Western Carolina College (now University) in 1967 with a degree in industrial engineering. He was a member of Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity. During his work career, he was employed at several textile manufacturing plants.

Carl is survived by his loving wife, Judith Frank Cox of the home; his son, John and wife, Janet, of Charlotte, and three granddaughters: Brianna, Carolina, and Madison, all of South Carolina.

A memorial service celebrating Carl's life will be held at Pierce-Jefferson Funeral Home, 213 W. Mountain St., Kernersville NC 27284 on Saturday, September 12, 2026 at 11:00AM with Pastor Phil Hulen officiating with a reception to follow.
