Christy McNamara Arends

Christy Ann McNamara Arends, 78, of Kernersville, died, Sunday, September 20, 2026, at Forsyth Medical Center, following a period of declining health.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM, Saturday, September 26, 2026, in the chapel of Pierce-Jefferson Funeral Service in Kernersville with Rev. Lomax Skinner officiating.

Born on April 2, 1948, in Memphis, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late James Joseph McNamara and Patricia Conley McNamara. Christy served others for many years as a registered nurse. Her compassionate care for others has left a legacy of love and service.

Left to cherish her memory are her beloved husband, Bill Arends of the home; son, Rient Arends of McAllister, OK; daughter, Lori Fox of Dallas, TX; brothers, Pat McNamara (Trenna) of Kernersville, Jay McNamara (Libby) of Oak Ridge, Phil McNamara (Liz) of Belmont, and Michael McNamara (Anita) of Simpsonville, SC; and a host of beloved extended family members and friends.
