Clyde "Rick" Richard Parks

Clyde "Rick" Richard Parks, 79, of Kernersville passed away on September 22, 2026 under the care of Hospice Home of the Piedmont. Born on March 15, 1947 in Chicago, Illinois, he was the son of the late Richard and Rose (Tuttle) Parks and husband to Mary Louise (Lovette) Parks.

He was an avid golferand loved collecting coins. Rick and Louise loved to travel and they went to every continent on the planet.

Rick is survived by his loving wife, Mary Louise Parks; his daughter, Jennifer Cheshire; his grandchildren, Andrew and William Cheshire; and his brother, Fred Parks of Murfreesboro, TN.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Curt Parks of Chicago, IL.

A funeral service celebrating Rick’s life will be held at Pierce-Jefferson Funeral Home, 213 W. Mountain St. Kernersville NC 27284 on Monday, September 28, 2026 at 11:00AM. The family invites attendees to a reception following the service.

In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make memorial contributions to the American Red Cross. He donated over 2 gallons of blood during his lifetime. He was able to donate to preemies and as called every 8 weeks to donate for them.
