Fred Franklin Weaver, Jr.

Fred Franklin Weaver, Jr., 79, of Kernersville passed away on August 31, 2026 at his home. Born on August 8, 1947 in Danville, Virginia, he was the son of the late Frederick "Fred" Franklin Weaver, Sr. and Virgie Mae Pruitt Weaver.

Fred worked at Lorillard Tobacco Company for over 43 years.

Fred is survived by his loving wife, Linda Webster Weaver; his sons, Rocky Weaver (April), Tommy Farthing (Tina), David Farthing (Kim), and Larry Dunlap (Leann); his daughters, Janet Moorefield (Keith) and Patricia Duncan (Jeff); his 17 grandchildren; his 16 great-grandchildren; his sister, Peggy Hunter; and his special friends Trey and Tracee Smith, and Steve Lamb; and many loving nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Donna Cisneros; his granddaughter, Kristen Murphy; and his sisters, Barbara Harris, Judy Powell, and Martha Moore.

The family will receive friends at Pierce-Jefferson Funeral Home, 213 W. Mountain St. Kernersville NC 27284 on Friday, September 4, 2026 from 4:00PM-6:00PM.

In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make memorial contributions to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
